Entry: Fun with Mom! Monday, July 13, 2009



Who says kitties don't have a sense of humor?  One thing about my mom, the house could fall down around us in squalor, but we kitties always have clean litter boxes.  And since I had my blockage, she's been cleaning them completely twice a day.

So we have 5 litter boxes, but no one ever uses the one with the pine scented corn litter, so there are really 4 we use.  Since Mom cleans the boxes at 7:00am and then again around 6:00pm, sometimes there's not a whole lot in them.  But just to keep the old girl busy, we make sure to have even just a wee bit of wee or a teeny tiny poop in all 4, even if we have to put the squeeze on baby Jake.

Then we sit upstairs and snicker.  I think she's on to us, though.  Yesterday, we made our deposits all into one box, so to speak, then scratched around in the others to make it look like we used them.  Hilarity ensued...

I tried that pine scented litter - my cats did not like it either!

Doods ... That's not furry nice. We have our four boxes, but Pumpkin's box has Yesterday's News in it 'cuz it gets caught up in his paws an' makes it hard to keep him clean ... Oh, an' we like to wait 'til the boxes have been policed before befoulin' them again, too.

Five litter boxes - you must have a big house! We have just one super-duper big box with very high sides. Momma tried to change to a lower one, but we were too used to the high sides and had a few ....uh.. misses.

Sounds like your mom is going to figure the game out shortly.

Ha ha! My mom finally gave up with all the catbox shenanigans. We just have the one giant box with Swheatscoop again and she cleans it twice a day. She said she was getting too old and tired to clean out a million boxes each day especially when we only used one anyway, and what, did we think catboxes and litter grew on trees? So things are back to normal.

Puff, you are incredibly funny and clever! But be careful your mom doesn't start taking boxes away one at a time till you only have one or two!

Our mom does our two boxes in the morning and at night. Tommy likes to wait till she's finished cleaning and immediately use the box. Our mom doesn't think that is very funny.
